AI Potluck is an open source project building a public alternative to proprietary AI. It gathers open models, compute, datasets, and safety tools to assemble a vertically integrated, easy to use AI product. The project identifies what is missing in the open source AI stack. It offers Alpha, an AI assistant made from open source parts, open to audit, and private by default. It also provides the Gap Map, which charts the open source AI stack and identifies areas for further development.
